See for yourself how this modern megalopolis prides itself in having unique museums with immense and unrivalled collections and artefacts dating from the earliest onset of history to the present era. The tour begins with a trip to the Archeological Museum, where you can  experience the evolution of mankind through the marvellous display of historical relics.  Next on the agenda is a chance to savour the distinctive flavour of Iranian cuisine. Lunch will be set in a traditional Iranian restaurant where you will sample a wide range of delightful Persian dishes and desserts. Afterwards, you will visit a world of jewels at the Crown Jewels Museum which is home to one of the two greatest diamonds, Darya-e-Noor, meaning  ‘sea of light’. At the end of the day, you will get a chance to see a variety of Persian hand-woven carpets and rugs in the Carpet Museum which houses more than 100 spectacular pieces from all over Iran. On top of that, you will also be given an insight into the history of these carpets. Finally, head back to your hotel for a well earned rest.

Day 2:  Tehran and Kish

Feast on a delicious breakfast before a busy day  sightseeing. Today, you will start the day with a morning visit to the Sa’ad Abad Complex, which features 18 magnificent historical palaces. You will visit 2 of these palaces which were  built by the Pahlavi dynasty. Make sure your camera is fully charged to take an obligatory holiday selfie.

You will then visit the Ceramic Museum where you will be able to witness its construction with glorious ancient archaeology. Then enjoy a tasty Iranian lunch in a traditional restaurant. Finally you will be transferred to the airport for the flight to Kish where you will stay.  The free trade zone status in Kish means it is touted as a consumer’s paradise, with numerous malls, shopping centres, tourist attractions, and resort hotels. About 1 million people visit the island annually.

Day 3: Kish

Start the day with a delicious breakfast before another busy day sightseeing. Kish Island was ranked among the world’s 10 most beautiful islands by The New York Times in 2010, and is the fourth most visited vacation destination in the Middle East. Today you will go on a tour of Kish which will start with a trip to the Ancient Town of Harireh . According to the writings of Iranian and Arab historians, the town of Harireh had been located in the center of the northern part of the island, where the ruins of the city can be seen today. Visiting this ancient town is an opportunity to get acquainted with the island’s history while having a nice time at the Green Tree Recreational Complex, situated near the ancient city.  You will then visit the ancient water cellars. Learn how the inhabitants of Kish, in the past, used a kind of traditional storage system to gather rainwater. These storages were dug in the ground and built with a domed roof. With the emergence of water desalination facilities, these storages lost their significance. But their remnants are still an interesting site for tourists to visit. Afterwards you are free to spend the day at leisure. This is a great opportunity to go swimming and have fun in the island.

Day 4: Kish

Your morning is free to spend at leisure. Again, you can go  swimming or explore the island.

In the evening, you will enjoy a tour of Underground Town of Cariz.  Learn how this Kish qanat is more than 2,500 years old. It has now been converted into an underground town  at a depth of 16 meters below the surface, with an area of more than 10,000 sq m. In the reconstruction of this qanat named Cariz, spaces have been allocated to handicraft stalls, restaurants and traditional teahouses, amphitheaters, conference centers, and art galleries.  Efforts have been made to preserve the traditional and historic fabric of the site. You can literally spend hours exploring and shopping here as it makes the perfect place to pick up a holiday souvenir. Finally head back to your hotel for a well earned rest.

Day 5: Shiraz

Feast on a delicious breakfast before travelling to Shiraz which has been at the centre of Persian culture for more than 2,000 years, and was at one time the country’s capital.  Today you will experience for yourself why Shiraz is crowned as the heartland of Persian culture and this city of sophistication will never fail to conjure up images of roses, nightingales, gardens and poetry.  Early in the morning, you will visit  the glorious Karim Khan palace, the splendid Vakil mosque, Vakil Bazaar and Saray-e-moshir with its splendid architecture and interesting ethnic souvenir shops, as well as Nasir Almolk mosque.  Next, you will stop for a mouth-watering Iranian lunch at one of the traditional restaurants of Shiraz.   In the evening, you will visit Ali-Ebn-e-Hamzeh. It seems that Darius planned this impressive complex of palaces not only as the seat of government but also, and primarily, as a show place and a spectacular centre for the receptions and festivals of the Achaemenid kings and their empire such as Nowroz. The next stop is Necropolis, which is opposite the mountain of Rahmat, after a ten minutes drive to the north.
