Itinerary:

Day 1 – Arrival in Halifax: Get ready to be blown away by the beauty of Canada when you jet off on your flight to Halifax. You will be welcomed by a friendly guide who will escort you to your hotel. After check-in, unpack your bags and unwind in your guestroom. Or feel free to independently explore the city. You will be impressed by Halifax where the sea breezes keep the air clean. There are plenty of leafy, and well-manicured parks and gardens nestle between heritage buildings. There is also a thriving arts, theater and culinary scene as well as numerous pubs.

Day 2 – Tour of Halifax: Be dazzled by the stunning gems of Halifax when you set off on a city tour. You will start at the Victorian Public Gardens, before moving onto Titanic grave sites. You will see historic properties including Province House, Old Town Clock, City Hall, as well as St. Paul’s Church. In the afternoon, you will travel to Peggy’s Cove, which is one of the most picturesque spots in all of Nova Scotia. You will continue along a portion of the Lighthouse Trail to Mahone Bay, which is a postcard-perfect maritime town and has been named one of Canada’s best small-town downtowns.

Day 3 –  Halifax:  Today you will discover Halifax from a different viewpoint aboard a wildlife watching harbour tour. Learn about the creatures that call this beautiful part of Earth home. You will have plenty of leisure time to enjoy a stroll along the Halifax boardwalk, before returning to your hotel in the evening.

Day 4 – Baddeck: Start the day with delicious breakfast, before you check out and leave for Baddeck. This is the hometown of Alexander Graham Bell who invented telephones. Your drive to Baddeck will pass through The Cabot Trail, a highway and scenic roadway in northern Victoria County and Inverness County on Cape Breton Island. So, sit back, relax and enjoy the view. Once you arrive, check into your hotel. Feel free to relax in your hotel or venture out and explore Baddeck, which is where the highlands meet the lowlands. It is famous for its veritable inland saltwater sea, where eagles nest and puffins play.

Day 5 – Summerside: Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as you set off on a sightseeing tour which includes a trip to Anne of Green Gables.  You will also visit Cavendish National Park, and the fishing village of North Rustico, just to name a few. In the afternoon, you will sample some of the best preserves in the world at the Prince Edward Island Preserves Company. The company sells sweets jams, to condiments, and even salsa. You can even buy tea and bespoke tea pots as a lovely keepsake of your trip.

Day 6 – Moncton: After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and travel to Moncton by road. Moncton is a city that is nestled in Westmorland County. Sitting in the Petitcodiac River Valley, Moncton lies at the geographic centre of the Maritime Provinces. The city has earned the nickname “Hub City” due to its central location in the region and its history as a railway and land transportation hub for the Maritimes. Once you arrive, check into your hotel and unwind.

Day 7 – Moncton: Prepare to be truly amazed this morning when you travel to Magnetic Hill to witness your motor coach coasting uphill with no power. Here gravity works in reverse. You start off with the gear in neutral and see the coach gradually drift upward. Next, you will head to the fishing village of Shediac for a selfie with the world’s largest lobster. Next, you will board the Ambassador Cruise Ship for an experience of a lifetime. Watch experienced fisherman haul in real lobster traps. You will want to pull out your camera and snap the live action as it unfolds before your very eyes. When the hunger pangs strike, then fear not, as you will also savor a freshly cooked lobster lunch on board. Next, you will cross over the magnificent Confederation Bridge on our way to the province of Prince Edward Island. Finally, head to your hotel and unwind.

Day 8 – Saint John: Today you will witness the natural phenomenon of the Reversing Falls where the Bay of Fundy tides force the Saint John River to reverse direction. Be sure to pull out your camera and record a video of this so you can impress your family and friends once you return home.  In the afternoon, you will travel through the Fundy National Park. Highlights here include the world’s highest tides, the irregularly eroded sandstone cliffs and the wide beach at low tide that makes exploring the shore for small marine life and debris such a treat. The park is delightfully wooded and features an extensive network of impressive hiking trails. You will visit the Hopewell Rocks to see the Flowerpots. You will be impressed by these peculiar formations which are forested islands at high tide and resemble flowerpots at low tide.

Day 9  – Edmundston: Start the day with a hearty breakfast to fuel up for a busy day of travel and exploring. After checking out of your hotel you will travel to Edmundston. Learn how this area was at the centre of the Aroostook War, a skirmish over boundary lines between the U.S.A. and what was then British North America. Originally confined to a disagreement between the State of Maine and the Colony of New Brunswick, the dispute eventually spread to involve the government of the United States in Washington, D.C. and the British Colonial Administration in Quebec City, seat of the Governor General of Canada, who had supreme authority over all British North America, including New Brunswick. Once you arrive, you will check into your hotel. Feel free to unwind in your room or venture out and explore the area which is a large paper mill town with a mainly bilingual French population.

Day 10 – Quebec:  Today, you will journey to Quebec by road. After checking into your hotel, you will have time to freshen up before leaving for a city tour of Quebec, which is one of the largest walled cities in North America. Its picturesque Old Town is a Unesco World Heritage site, as it is a living museum of narrow cobblestone streets, 17th to 18th century houses and soaring church spires. You will be impressed when you spot the famous Château Frontenac towering above it all. There’s more than a glimmer of old Europe in its classic bistros, sidewalk cafes and manicured squares. The city’s compact size makes it ideal for walking, and it shines brightest when you slow down.

Day 11 – Departure:  After a delicious breakfast, you will leave for Quebec City Airport. As you board your flight back home, you will leave with happy memories to last a life time.
