Buckle up for a fascinating journey through Jordan when you arrive at the Queen Alia Airport. You will be welcomed by our friendly representative. You will then be transferred directly to your hotel for check-in. Depending upon your flight arrival time, we can offer additional activities for the day, such as a trip to local art galleries. As evening falls enjoy dinner and an overnight at your hotel.
Day 2 – Amman, Jerash & Ajloun:
Travel back in time as you head north for a walk through history in Jerash. This is regarded as one of the most important and best preserved Roman cities in the middle east. Hidden for centuries in sand before being excavated and restored over the past 70 years, Jerash reveals a fine example of the grand, formal provincial Roman urbanism. You will be wowed as you see the remains of paved and colonnaded streets, soaring hilltop temples, handsome theatres, spacious public squares and plazas, baths, fountains and city walls pierced by towers and gates. Next, you will travel to Ajloun and visit the castle that dominates its skyline. It was built to ward off the crusader armies at the key trade and pilgrimage intersection between Jerusalem, Cairo, Damascus and Mecca. Finally, you will be driven back to Amman for dinner and a well-earned rest at your hotel.
Day 3 – Amman & Petra visit:
Relish in the beauty of the Red Rose City of Petra. Today you will see for yourself how Petra was first established around the 6th century B.C. by the Nabataean Arabs, a nomadic tribe who settled in the area and laid the foundation of a commercial empire that extended into Syria. You will spend time visiting its many caves and tombs. You will also have the chance to walk through the Siq and be astounded at the magnificent Treasury, the entrance guarding the ancient Nabatean city, now one of the modern seven wonders of the world. Be sure to take your camera with you to snap photos that you will treasure for years to come. You will then have a chance to also explore the city further, with trips to either Qasr Al-Bint or the Royal Tombs. Finally, you will return to Amman for dinner and a good night sleep.
Day 4 – Amman & Dead Sea:
Immerse yourself with the wonder of mother nature with a trip to the Dead Sea. This salt lake is bordered by Jordan, Israel and Palestine and the water has a density of 1.24 kg, which makes swimming feel similar to floating. You can spend the day relaxing, or floating in the salt waters, or simply resting by the pool. You can also pamper yourself with a spa treatment. Be sure to pull out your selfie stick and snap a photo of yourself in such a unique environment. After a relaxing day, you will travel back to your hotel in Amman for dinner and an overnight stay.
