Itinerary:

Day 1 –  Arrival in Beijing  

Experience Chinese hospitality from the moment you land when our friendly representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel for check in. You will have the rest of the day free to spend as you wish. You can sleep off your jet lag or even explore this vibrant city by yourself.

 

Day 2 – Beijing

Feast on a hearty breakfast for a jam packed day of sightseeing. Today your Beijing adventure will begin with a trip to Tiananmen Square. As the largest public square in the world, Tiananmen Square can hold over one million people. Next,  you will head to the Forbidden City, which is the best-preserved imperial palace in China and the largest ancient palatial structure in the world. Be wowed by the magnificence of royal architecture and imperial treasures. Then you will stop to feast on a delicious halal lunch, after which, you will go to Niujie Mosque to perform your prayers. As the largest and oldest mosque in Beijing, Niujie Mosque is a must-visit destination for Muslims. It’s grand size and mix of Islamic and traditional Chinese culture makes it an amazing landmark. Then you will visit Muslim Supermarket, which sells various kinds of halal food and products.  Next, you can enjoy the ride of your life as you go on a rickshaw ride at Hutongs. After that you will go to Yandaixiejie to gain a deeper understanding of ancient Beijing culture. Yandaixiejie is a ancient street featuring numerous stores selling antiques and souvenirs. You will also stop at Tongrentang, which is a famous pharmacy’s store that sells various kinds of traditional Chinese medicines. Finally, you will enjoy dinner, before your guide will take you back to the hotel for a good rest.

 

Day  3 – Beijing

Today you will make a memory that will last a lifetime as you finally  come face to face with one of the wonders of the world – The Great Wall of China. After breakfast, you will go for a hike at Juyongguan Great Wall. As one of the three greatest mountain passes of the Great Wall in China, Juyongguan Great Wall is a popular destination for people to explore the spectaculars of the Great Wall. Be wowed by the surrounding mountains, and beautiful views of verdant trees and blossoming flowers. After lunch, you will go for prayers at Madian Mosque. It is one of the famous mosques in Beijing, and boasts typical Chinese courtyard styled architecture and quiet environment.  Afterwards, you will visit Summer Palace. This is the largest and the most well-preserved royal park in China that boasts lakes, gardens and palaces.  Next you will have a stop at Beijing Olympic Green. Here you can appreciate the unique and stunning buildings including Bird’s Nest, Water Cube, and Ling Long Pagoda. The last stop for today will be Wangfujing Walking Street, where you can have a feast at numerous shops selling delicious local Beijing snacks and specialties.

 

Day 4 – Urumqi

After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the airport and you will take a flight to Urumqi. When you arrive in Urumqi, you will be driven to your hotel for check in. You will have the rest of the day free to spend as you wish. Feel free to relax inside your hotel or explore the surrounding area by yourself.

 

Day 5 – Urumqi

Prepare to be dazzled when you visit the enchanting Heavenly Lake. This lake is a famous scenic spot in Xinjiang and is located at the mountainside of the Bogda Peak which is the highest peak in the east range of Tianshan Mountain. The Heavenly Lake, is also called “Pearl of Tianshan Mountain” for its scenery which boasts crystal water, pleasant climate, silvery mountains, and colourful wild flowers. At the same time, you can explore the relic of the Quaternary Period Glacier which features rare birds and animals, as well as glaciers. After that you will visit Tartar Mosque which is one of the main mosques in Xinjiang. It is nestled in the southern end of Jiefang Road and covers an area of 3,000 square meters. The Tartar Mosque is able to hold one thousand people for prayers thanks to its four prayer halls. Be in awe of its typical Asiatic style with spacious corridors and exquisite minaret. Finally, feast on a delicious halal dinner before your guide takes you back to your hotel.

 

Day 6  – Urumqi & Turpan

Start the day with a scrumptious breakfast, before you are driven to Turpan. The first destination you will explore will be the  Karez Well System, which was built about 2,000 years ago. It is made up of wells, dams, underground canals and reservoirs in order to store water and control water flow. This great well system was constructed according to the local hot and dry climate, and has made great contribution to the prosperity of Turpan. Reputed as “the underground Great Wall”, this landmark is worth a visit.  The next destination will be Suleiman Minaret, which is also known as Sugong Tower. Learn how the tower was built in 1778 and is the largest ancient tower in Xinjiang. It was constructed with steel-grey bricks into the unique Islamic style. Now the Sugong Tower is a popular tourist attraction for tourists, especially for Muslim because its boasts Islamic art. Gaochang Ruins will be the last destination today. As you wander the landmark, see how it features an outer and inner city with several gates, walls and ruins of temples. As a witness of the greatness and glory of Turpand and Silk Road, now Gaochang Ruins is a popular site to learn more about the history of this area.  After dinner, your guide will take you back to your hotel so that you can rest.

 

Day 7 – Turpan, Urumqi & Kashgar

Travel back in time as you visit Jiaohe Ruins which sits on top of a 30 meters steep cliff. The shape of the ruins is like a willow leaf and it is surrounded by water. The Jiaohe Ruins is the oldest, biggest and the most well-preserved mud building city in the world. With its unique and interesting constructions, and historical and cultural values, this earthen castle attracts numerous tourists. Next, you will stop for lunch before your guide will drive you back to Urumqi and transfer you to the airport. From here you will take a flight to Kashgar, where a local guide will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel.

 

Day 8 –  Kashgar

Delve deeper into the beauty of Kashgar as your explore the region today. Your sightseeing tour will begin with a visit to the famous Id Kah Mosque which is one of the biggest mosques in China. The mosque has strong ethnic style and religious features as well as being a hub of  religious activities for Xinjiang Muslims. Next you will visit Afaq Khoja Mausoleum which was first built in 1640. Learn how the mausoleum is also known as Xiangfei’s tomb, which means the “Fragrant Concubine”, as Xiangfei’s remains are buried here. She was the granddaughter of Afaq Khoja and was forced into a marriage with the Qing Dynasty Emperor Qianong. The Afaq Khoja Mausoleum is constructed to stand peacefully in the midst of poplars and pines. This landmark also features exquisite Islamic style, as well as The Grand Mosque. Afterwards, your guide will transfer you back to your hotel for a well deserved rest.

 

Day 9 –  Kashgar & Urumqi 

Peel back the many fascinating layers of Urumqi when you visit the region today. After breakfast, you will take a trip to Xinjiang Regional Museum. The site has more than 50,000 collections of historic relics and gives a perception of the brilliant history and glorious culture of Xinjiang and the ancient Silk Road. Also there are exhibitions that are related to the unique customs and culture of ethnic groups in Xinjiang. After lunch, you will perform your prayers at Tartar Mosque. Then you will tour the Urumqi International Bazaar which is the largest market in the world. The construction of the bazaar is outstanding and features strong Islamic characteristics. It was built to reproduce the prosperity of The Silk Road and also display the ethnic culture of West China. Finally feast on a delicious dinner, before relaxing in your hotel.

 

Day 10  – Urumqi & Xian

After breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Xian. When you arrive, you will be taken directly to visit Daxuexixiang Mosque. Learn how this is the second largest mosque in Xi’an and was constructed in the year of 705 during Tang Dynasty. The mosque was enlisted as a cultural site under the protection of the Shaanxi Province in 1956. Now it is one of the major attractions in Xi’an. Next you will be taken on a tour of  Shaanxi History Museum which houses a large collection of historic and cultural relics, including murals, paintings, pottery, and coins. Culture vultures will love the museum which will give you a better insight into ancient Chinese history and culture.

 

Day 11 – Xian

This morning you will visit the world-famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses. It is dubbed as “World’s Eighth Great Wonder” and the largest excavation of the 20th century. Be wowed by the numerous life size terracotta figures of warriors and horses with different features, facial expressions, clothing and hairstyles – all arranged in battle formations. Be sure to pull out your camera and snap this fascinating landmark. Next you will visit the Great Mosque. It is one of the oldest and largest mosques in Xian and is famed for its long history and unique architecture which is a combination of Islamic and traditional Chinese style. After this,  you  will go to Muslim Street, where you can taste delicious local Xian snacks and halal food. Finally feast on a delicious dinner, before your guide takes you back to your hotel for a much needed rest.

 

Day 12 – Xian & Shanghai

Today you will have a bit free time to spend as you wish after breakfast. Later, your guide will take you to the airport for a flight to Shanghai. When you arrive in Shanghai, you will visit the Oriental Pearl Tower which boasts a unique architectural design. The next destination will be the Bund, which is on the waterfront. The Bund is the best place to enjoy the view of Huangpu River. Finally, you will have a bit of free time to shop at Nanjing Road. As China’s premier shopping street, Nanjing Road is the ideal spot to experience the charm of metropolis and modernism of Shanghai. After dinner, your guide will bring you to the hotel for check in.

 

Day 13 –  Shanghai

Today your sightseeing adventure will begin with a visit to Yuyuan Garden. As a famous classical garden in Shanghai, Yuyuan Garden boasts stunning natural rocks, pavilions, ornamental ponds and flower walls. It is a great place to take a holiday selfie. Then, you will visit Chenghuangmiao Bazaar, where you can browse through the shops, and taste original Shanghai snacks and drinks. If it’s a great time you’re after then the next stop will not disappoint. You will have fun at Xintiandi which is a shopping and entertainment center in Shanghai. After dinner, your guide will bring you back to your hotel for a good rest.

 

Day 14 – Departure

Relish in the final breakfast of your holiday as you no doubt replay all the wonderful memories you have created. After breakfast, you will have free time for leisure. This is an ideal time to do a bit of last minute shopping. Your guide will transfer you back to the airport for your departure flight.
